We are on planet earth for
a purpose: God created us for fellowship. When
Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden, God frequently
communed with them "in the cool of the evening."
When Adam sinned the relationship man enjoyed
with God was broken and ever since we have experienced
an emptiness that only God can fill. Jesus came
to earth on a mission. That mission was to restore
the relationship between man and God and He did
just that. If you have tried everything to find
something that can satisfy your soul and have
come up short, I'd like to invite you to try God.
I believe that a restored relationship with Him
will satisfy your longing and make you feel complete.
The following eight steps will lead you into a
relationship with God and transform you into a
true Christian.
- You must realize that no one is good
enough.
"
There is none righteous, no,
not one:" - Romans 3:10
- You must accept the fact that even you
are a sinner.
"For all have sinned, and come short
of the glory of God..." (Romans 3:23)
- You must know that God loves you, even
though you have failed Him.
" But God commendeth his love toward
us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us". - Romans 5:8
- You must see that a price must be paid
for your sin.
"For the wages of sin is death
"
(Romans 6:23)
"
and without shedding of blood
is no remission. [of sin]" - Heb. 9:22
- You must realize that Jesus paid the
price!
"
but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
(Romans 6:23)
"But God commendeth his love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us." (Romans 5:8)
- You must repent of your sin (turn away
from your sin).
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom
of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe
the gospel." - Mark 1:15
- You must ask Christ to save you.
"For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved." ?(Romans
10:13)
- Believe and confess
"That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the
heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
- Romans 10:9-10
Are you willing to ask Jesus to be your Savoir?
Then please ask Him to come into your heart
with the following prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner.
I deserve to go to hell. But you said you
would save me if I would call upon you. Please
forgive me of all my sins and accept me as
your child. Thank you for saving me! Help
me now to live for you. Amen."
